Common Causes of Tinnitus:

1. External Ear Tinnitus: Caused by inflammation due to external auditory canal lesions, foreign body insertion, or fungal infection.

2. Middle Ear Tinnitus: Caused by acute or chronic otitis media, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, acid reflux leading to Eustachian tube dysfunction, or nasopharyngeal lesions, resulting in poor middle ear function and tinnitus.

3. Inner Ear Tinnitus: Caused by aging, noise damage, drug side effects, head trauma, vascular lesions, etc., resulting in damage or degeneration of the inner ear nerve receptors and tinnitus.

4. Psychogenic tinnitus: Tinnitus can also be caused by autonomic nervous system dysfunction due to high work pressure, stressful life, anxiety, poor sleep quality, or external stimuli.

5. High blood pressure, diabetes, anemia, and metabolic abnormalities can also cause tinnitus.

Excessive prolactin levels can cause infertility and menstrual irregularities

Excessive prolactin levels can cause infertility and menstrual irregularities:

Hyperprolactinemia is a common cause of ovulatory abnormalities and infertility in women. Even mild elevations can interfere with luteal function and menstrual regularity, leading to infertility and irregular periods.

Once pregnancy is achieved, the brain activates prolactin secretion, increasing milk production while suppressing estrogen production and ovulation. This is why hyperprolactinemia is a major cause of infertility.

Excessive prolactin levels can cause amenorrhea and galactorrhea in women, and can also lead to testicular insufficiency in men, resulting in sexual dysfunction and infertility. Therefore, hyperprolactinemia can affect the reproductive function of both men and women.

Normal prolactin levels should be:

Women: < 25 ng/ml

Men: < 20 ng/ml

Exceeding the following values may indicate reproductive abnormalities:

60–70 ng/ml: Possible progesterone deficiency, leading to poor implantation or recurrent miscarriage

>100 ng/ml: Commonly associated with menstrual cycle irregularities or amenorrhea

>200 ng/ml: Highly suspected prolactinoma, requiring further MRI examination

Traditional Chinese Medicine can help cancer chemotherapy patients stabilize their white blood cell counts, hemoglobin levels, and kidney function.

Traditional Chinese Medicine can help cancer chemotherapy patients stabilize their white blood cell counts, hemoglobin levels, and kidney function. A patient undergoing chemotherapy for bladder cancer, along with traditional Chinese medicine treatment, experienced improvements in white blood cell counts, hemoglobin levels, and kidney function after continued treatment with traditional Chinese medicine.

October 21, 2014

eGFR GFR: 86.6 (Improvement)

Hemoglobin: 11.7 (Improvement)

White blood cells: 6.26 K/uL (Improvement)

September 7, 2014

eGFR GFR: 84

Hemoglobin: 11

White blood cells: 6.26 K/uL

June 19, 2014

eGFR GFR: 71

Hemoglobin: 9.6

White blood cells: 6.22 K/uL

Low blood counts are a common side effect of cancer treatment, primarily occurring in patients who have received chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Treatment damages the bone marrow and reduces immune function, leading to a decrease in white blood cells, red blood cells, or platelets. Chemotherapy also suppresses bone marrow production, leading to a decrease in white blood cells and hemoglobin.

What is low blood count after chemotherapy?

1. Leukopenia: White blood cells protect against foreign pathogens. A decrease in white blood cell count can make the body more susceptible to infection and weaken the immune system.

raditional Chinese Medicine Treatment - Constipation and Hypertension

Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment - Constipation and Hypertension

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/196aUrfmRt/?mibextid=wwXIfr

After two months of Chinese medicine and acupuncture treatment, the patient's constipation, systolic blood pressure, and diastolic blood pressure all improved.

The following two images are the patient's handwritten blood pressure log.

Image 1: September-October 2025 (both systolic and diastolic blood pressure improved)

Image 2: July 2025.

Constipation and High Blood Pressure:

Constipation can increase blood pressure and increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. Excessive straining during bowel movements accelerates heart contractions, causing a rapid increase in blood pressure, which can strain the heart and potentially trigger a myocardial infarction or stroke. Stress and emotions are also major contributors to high blood pressure. Stress, anger, and anxiety can cause sympathetic nerve contraction, leading to an increase in blood pressure.

Why does constipation cause high blood pressure?

When constipated people strain during bowel movements, abdominal pressure increases, causing a sudden spike in blood pressure. Long-term constipation increases the risk of heart disease and stroke in people with hypertension.

How can I improve constipation and stabilize my blood pressure?

1. Increase dietary fiber intake:

Eating more foods rich in dietary fiber, such as whole grains, vegetables, and fruits, helps maintain smooth bowel movements and stabilizes blood pressure.

After three weeks of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture treatment, the patient's tinnitus and brain noise have improved. They went from daily attacks to only every 2.3 days, and the duration of each attack has also shortened.

(To protect patient privacy, the patient's back is shown in the photo.)

What are tinnitus and brain noise?

When the brain or ears hear sounds without external sound, this is called tinnitus or brain noise.

The difference between tinnitus and brain noise:

Brain noise: Sounds are perceived as originating in the brain itself, such as the head or top of the head.

Tinnitus: Sounds are perceived as originating in or around one or both ears.

Classification of tinnitus: Tinnitus is categorized by how long it has been occurring. It can be divided into acute and chronic tinnitus.

1. Acute tinnitus: This refers to tinnitus that has recently occurred and occurred within approximately three months. It is easier to identify the underlying cause and address its treatment. 2. Chronic tinnitus: This refers to tinnitus that has persisted for more than three months. Chronic tinnitus is more difficult to treat because it persists over a longer period of time and has a wider range of potential contributing factors.
